The Locally Made Shop was started by Colleen O'Connor with encouragement from Jan Revier. It began as a place for Colleen to do her weaving...undisturbed...her own bit of heaven. But that didn't last for long...enter Jan! She saw it as an under-utilized storefront, just waiting to be filled with wonderful items for sale! Besides, she wanted her own bit of this heavenly existence Colleen had created - a place to work.
Being fiber artists for many years, Colleen with her weaving and Jan with her rug hooking and spinning, each understood the need for a place for other artisans to display and sell their work. They already had the location...now they just needed the vendors. That wasn't hard! To date, they have the work of over twenty artisans with a wide wariety of disciplines represented and more merchandise arriving at an alarming rate! But they weren't surprised, since they knew talented people were everywhere. They just needed an invitation to come out of the woodwork!
